SHARED SILENCE
A solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Walter Francia.
For Walter Francia, “Shared Silence” (Silencio Compartido) is much more than an exhibition project: it is a moment in time where the past, the present, and the intuitive energy of the future converge. The exhibition is built from a state of presence in which the artist sets words aside to allow the soul to speak, giving shape to a deeply personal collection.
The project includes a tribute to Doña Remedios Nieto del Río, a Marbella icon and an essential figure in the artist's personal journey. Her example of perseverance, integrity, and sincere friendship inspires the spirit of this show, which seeks to honor her memory through emotion and gratitude.
Walter Francia’s work draws from a long career marked by curiosity, discovery, and a commitment to painting as the "red thread" of his life. His experience in the world of opera and the performing arts—as a producer, stage director, and designer of sets, costumes, and lighting—contributes a broad and sensitive perspective reflected in the composition and atmosphere of his pieces. His work is already held in private and corporate collections across more than twenty countries.
“Shared Silence” invites the public to pause and observe. In his works, silence becomes a fertile space where the unknown, the infinite, and the unseen find form. The artist trusts that each viewer will find their own connection on this journey because, for him, sharing silence is a way to connect through what is most essential and authentic.
