Mauro Basile

Born in 1980 in Grottaglie—an Italian town renowned for its rich ceramic tradition—Mauro Basile grew up surrounded by a unique artistic environment. Descending from a family of master artisans, his grandfather Leonardo, known as Puparieuddu, was a prominent turner, while his other grandfather, Ugo, left his mark on local history with the iconic "Gallo di Grottaglie" (Grottaglie Rooster) design. This family legacy profoundly shaped his path, serving as both a privilege and a constant source of inspiration.
