Isla speaks of support and care—of that person who stays when everything seems to lose its balance and who, somehow, keeps us from falling, even when we stop holding ourselves up. A presence that shelters, carries, and walks alongside us. And within that reality, the mermaid emerges, like a myth slipping into the everyday to remind us that we also need the impossible, the dreamed-of—that which makes life a slightly more mysterious and poetic place.
