Leonardo Donoso
Paint
In his constant search to impact and evoke emotion, Leonardo creates works filled with personality, complexity, and detail. His approach incorporates elements of architecture and design—ever-present in his pieces—offering a unique and surprising experience. Welcome to his world of depth, movement, layers, and textures, where every piece is an invitation to discover the unexpected.
Leonardo has participated in various exhibitions, including the permanent collection at the Pinacoteca de Sevilla from 2023 to the present; the I Andalusian Contemporary Art Fair (FADAC) at the FIBES Exhibition and Congress Center (Seville) in 2023; and the exhibitions “Comienzo” and “Summertime” at the Pitijopos Gallery in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz) in 2023. He also took part in the Galería Uno Virtual Exhibition in 2022.
His fascination with the abandoned and the mystery permeating such elements is reflected in every work. He is drawn to the creative decay that the passage of time leaves behind, seeking to emulate the peeling walls of a traditional Manchego house or the abstract imperfections produced by lime on adobe facades.
Through his wall sculptures, Francisco immerses himself in the whimsical forms of ruins and the history etched into wooden gates weathered by sun and rain. His detailed observation highlights the unique and extraordinary beauty that time and neglect have bestowed upon these elements.
