Edu Rosa
Photography
His work navigates the space between the documentary and the poetic.
He feels most at home in landscape photography—a medium through which he analyzes the relationship between man-made artifice and the natural world. Having been raised on and remaining deeply enamored with silver halide (analog) photography, he currently teaches analog courses at the Apertura Photography School.
Exhibitions and ProjectsHe has participated in solo and collective exhibitions in halls and galleries across Andalusia, Madrid, and Barcelona, including:
- Morocco: Travel Notebooks – Niu, Contemporary Art Space. Barcelona, 2006.
- Brazil – Altaïr Bookstore. Barcelona, 2006.
- Brief as Photos: Postcards – San Telmo School of Art. Málaga, 2016.
- So Far, So Near – Ateneo de Málaga, 2021.
- From Contemplation to the Appropriation of Landscape – An essay on human influence on the natural landscape, recently exhibited at the Sala Laverón in the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Cultural Center, Torremolinos.
In his latest work, Multigraph: Solitude Reinvented, he recreates a photographic studio concept patented in the late 19th century, utilizing mirrors to create multiple-exposure portraits."
