When Ariel and his family returned to Navarre, he began a close and intimate relationship with natural stone and quarries, which provided his first artistic inspiration. Ariel is a contemporary artist who draws upon an ancestral artistic tradition, much to the delight of the collectors who have encountered his work. His energy and drive to create constantly push him to go further.

Two distinct artistic lines stand out in his work: pure, contemporary Corten steel and a more traditional style.

'Design is a fundamental part of the conception of sculpture and artistic creation. It drives the search for aesthetic forms and balances in which steel and natural stone form a single, united body through a precise distribution of loads and weights.From there, inspiration does the rest, fueled by the experience of the path I have traveled and my previous creations in steel and Corten. I combine these with recycled natural stone found in the remnants of my projects, production, or my own quarries.I bend my sculptures by hand and through cold-working; this allows me to truly feel the material and recognize my own physical limits. I work outdoors, in contact with nature, which inspires me to finally find that "marriage" between steel and natural stone. I create a diverse universe of sculptures following my imagination toward the place where my preliminary sketches and artistic models lead me, guiding the conception of the contemporary sculpture I strive to create.'
